The Midwest features America’s most unpredictable and varied weather. There aren’t as many searchable articles published on this topic as you might think but it’s interesting to know what region truly has the toughest and wildest weather conditions. This has never been a mystery to me. We have bitter cold and dry winters contrasted with dripping wet and sticky summers. We get blizzards, floods, hailstorms, droughts, tornados, and everything in between.
The weather is surprising too. God has surprised me many times with its great storms. Temperature and precipitation might change several considerable extreme times throughout the day. Layering is big key but you can’t take everything. Check the weather in the morning and hope for the best. I’ve been in many scary situations with the weather, especially working manual labor for so many years, but I still love the variation and unpredictability.
