I feel like it’s an accomplishment making it through the winter as a gymgoer. You have to put the extra layers on and brave the cold. But I made it. Stayed consistent. And now I’m looking better than ever for swimsuit season.
The weight comes easy in the winter too. I don’t know if it’s just that I’m inside more during the cold months, or a combination of that and me working from home more, and my medication, or some kind of oral fixation.
I don’t know about yall but I have some arthritis as well. Just getting up and moving around in the winter is tough, but I know the importance of fitness and how it affects mobility, so I gotta get to the gym.
It can all be rollover from the holidays too. I know I’m good for most of the year, but when the holidays come around, I tend to forget some of my diet and exercise plans. Then that carries through until the next year at some point.
No drinking or nicotine. I’m feeling confident, fit, and healthy this time around, and excited to take my shirt off this spring. There is always something I could improve on but I’ve been doing much better.
